I have worked in financial services since graduating from Sheffield Hallam in 2019. My first six months in financial services were spent as a financial planning assistant, before joining the Pavis paraplanning team in September 2020.
Day to day, my role consists of writing suitability letters that outline the adviser’s recommendations and conducting research to assist with clients’ financial plans.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Learning from my more experienced colleagues, getting involved with client meetings and assisting in the planning process.
What’s your idea of a perfect weekend?
Going home to Yorkshire to see my family or a day out in North Wales. Alternatively, I’m happy doing nothing - as long as there’s football on!
Where in the world can you not wait to get back to again?
The United States. I’ve been to New Hampshire once on a ski trip but would love to see some other parts of the country.
Where in the world have you never been but hope to get to visit one day?
Not a specific place, but I’d love to go watch the World Cup somewhere and see different cities while following the England team.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned doing your job?
Pay attention to detail and be thorough in my work.
What three things are guaranteed to put a smile on your face?
Positive feedback.

Finance was the last thing I could see myself working in, but I absolutely love it and couldn’t see myself doing anything else now.
