Lydia Taft

Financial Planner

I started my career in financial services back in 2014 selling insurance, before moving across to wealth management in 2015.

In my work history, I’ve worked in various client-facing roles which have helped me learn the nitty- gritty of investments and pensions. This helped me work my way up to a Relationship Management role, offering investment guidance to clients who were comfortable managing their own portfolio.

From there, I worked supporting financial planners whilst working towards my financial planning qualifications. As a result, I was able to gain a solid understanding of all processes before becoming a planner myself.

I’m happy helping people in all situations, however, I specialise in pension transfer advice.

The important stuff

Get to know Lydia

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Making a positive impact on the lives of my clients.
What’s your idea of a perfect weekend?

A weekend away with family and friends; to include a (very competitive) games night, a good old fashioned sing-song and plenty of cheese and wine!
Where in the world can you not wait to get back to again?

Anywhere as long as it’s with family and friends.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned doing your job?

Financial planning is about so much more than money. In my experience, unearthing the personal goals that drive an individual’s financial objectives allows me to deliver the best possible outcomes for my clients.
What three things are guaranteed to put a smile on your face?

Good deeds. Anything Christmas-related. Chocolate biscuits.
Tell us something people may be surprised to learn about you.

My passion for travelling to “outside the box” holiday destinations.
